Swimming lessons!

Addie took her first swimming lessons the past 2 weeks. She loved it! I'm not sure she could keep herself above water, on her own, but she did learn to get her head all the way under and not come up choking. They let the kids jump off the diving board the last 2 days. Addie had the cutest little strut walking to the diving board, she was so excited that she could do it. After the first time she did it, she hurried back to tell me she did it and that she didn't even break her arm doing it. We were so proud of her.

Family Fun

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! We got to go to Rexburg and see Shaun's family. Seven of the eight kids in the famiy were there and his parents just got home from teaching English in China so we all haven't been together much lately. We got to visit with everyone, go to fireworks, swimming, parades, family pictures (they will come later), and the annual Christmas in July. We loved being with family and can't wait to see them again later this summer.

I also convinced Shaun and my future sister-in-law, Rachel, to run in the 5k race that is in Rexburg. It was a lot of fun. It was Shaun's first race and he did great!




We had to pay to get into where wanted to watch the fireworks so we managed to only pay for 2 car loads by piling most of the crew in the back of the pickup






Shaun's brother's family has a fun pool in their backyard and we went swimming when it wasn't raining.
