Rachel's 2

We celebrated Rachel's second birthday this week. We went with a yellow/duck theme, after I couldn't decide on anything to do Shaun just asked her what she wanted for her cake and she said Yellow. Which is really perfect because currently she calls most everything yellow whether it is or not and she says it frequently and she also pushes a toy duck around the house and calls it her quack quack. The whole thing turned out great, we invited a couple of friends and made a yellow dinner of scrambled eggs, Waffles, bananas, and orange juice... and of course yellow duck cake.

We just love little Rachel, she always keeps us laughing as she learns new words and facial expressions. Two is such a fun age as they are learning so much!

Appreciation BBQ

Shaun works at Mike's Auto Clinic - it's a local shop here in Nampa. They did a fun BBQ for their customers last weekend. There was yummy food and it was fun to meet some of the people he works with. Our girls had fun with free rain on food and prizes and did so good hanging out all day with us.

Mother's Day

I still sometimes can't believe that I'm a mother and have two little girls. I just love it and all the joy it brings but it goes by quick and sometimes I wish time would seem to go slower. This year Addie just loved the whole idea and I think I got a couple cards a day for awhile. She is so sweet & thoughtful. So the day after Mother's day she asked me, very sincerely when she would get a Child's day card. So we decided to make Child's day cards and it's so fun to see kids be excited about things. Makes doing the little things so worth it! Shaun and the girls got me fun little gifts and we had yummy shishkabobs for dinner!

April Recap

April somehow came and went and now May is almost over too. Here I am trying to keep updated and it's been a month and a half. I guess we are just having so much fun we don't find the time to sit down and relax. I certainly feel like we are always busy and have something going on.

I could let you count all the candles but I'll save you the trouble Shaun is 28 and looks so cute in the fun b-day hat the the girls thought we should wear!

A few weeks ago I recruited the neighbor kids to clean my car.... which mostly worked and then they all just got wet and played with the hose. (I'm sure their mom's were happy to see them come home in wet clothes;) Some of the kids moved since then and we sure miss them.

When Shaun got home they jumped in the truck for a few times around the cul-de-sac
Rachel loved helping to clean and then neatly layed out all the rags to dry

Addie's helping Shaun with his Bike

We went to visit my parents and Addie just loves her Grandpa and spent the afternoon helping him in the yard.
