Shaun turned 26 yesterday!! He thought he was 26 for the past year so he won't have to lie about it anymore! We kept up with the Powell tradition of cake and ice cream and HOT DOGS for breakfast. I'm not sure why that combination ever started but Shaun still doesn't feel like it is his birthday if he doesn't start out the day that way. He had just gotten a bloody nose when we were singing Happy Birthday so in the video that explains the tissue hanging from his nose.
We had some friends over to help celebrate last night. We had dinner and an Ice Cream Cake that Shaun wanted. We still have a lot of the German Ch. Cake that I made, too! Lots of leftover cake is the best part of a birthday right?! Shaun appreciated all the phone calls and cards from family and friends. He said he had a great day!! I love him and I'm so glad that I get to celebrate his life with him!

Last weekend we had a lot of fun having people come visit us! Shaun's brother and friend came and brought two of our nieces, too. I was really glad the girls came so I could hang out with them and let the boys do their own thing!
(Sarah, Addie, & Stacie) Addie loves her cousins!! When we lived in Rexburg these cute girls would baby-sit for us all the time! We sure miss that!! It was fun to have them stay with us for a couple days!
(Sarah,Warren, Addie, Tyler, Stacie) This was everyone watching General Conference on Sunday.
Sarah and Stacie helped me make Addie a chalk board. We painted it one night and here is Addie testing it out the next morning! Addie loves it and I was so glad my friend gave me the idea to make it. I never knew you could buy chalkboard paint and make your own chalkboard. It was so easy and so much fun! So anyone with toddlers should give it a try, it's been a real hit!!
