Addie Turns 2!

Feb. 20 was Addie's 2nd birthday! It was a really fun day! Her Grandpa and Grandma Summers called in the morning from South Africa on their mission to sing Happy Birthday to her and talk for awhile. We had play group at our house so she got to play with a lot of other kids. And the two of us got to hang out all day together and play with her Mickey Mouse balloons and new presents! We did most of the celebrating when Shaun got home from work so she had to wait most of the day to open presents and have her cake.We had some friends over to help celebrate we had dinner, which Addie didn't want to eat and then she got to blow out candles, which she didn't want to do (she is in the typical toddler "I don't want to do that" mode) and then we got to eat the cake! Addie did like that and she did like opening presents! You'll notice in all the pictures she is wearing a new outfit. I think on this particular day she changed about 5 times. She did get some new clothes for her birthday and when she opened them, she instantly wanted to try them on, typical girl, right?!! She doesn't usually change that many times a day but she doesn't like to keep the same clothes on all day.



She got a sing along song book from her Grandpa and Grandpa Summers that has a microphone attached. She loves to sing along, she loves it! The only flaw in the book is we can't find an off button for when she needs to take a break from it.
















This is the 3rd attempt trying to get Addie to blow out her candles. She just didn't want to, so the rest of us took turns blowing them out for her.


This is Addie getting her new chair for her birthday! She loves little chairs that she can carry around the house. She also got new clothes, a puzzle, a notebook and pen to draw with. She loves to draw and is really good. She will draw circles and then color them in, and she will do it for hours, she also wants us to draw people or animals or random things for her, too. Sometimes she will draw detailed "pictures" and say it is a chair or a butterfly. This morning she actually did draw a heart and was really excited to show me!
